​The following policies must be agreed to before bodywork of any type will be performed. These policies are here to protect the client as well as the practitioner and are intended to clearly lay out the expectations for both before, during and after the session.

• 24 hour notice required for reschedule or cancelation. Failure to provide adequate notice results in full charge.

• A credit card is required to reserve an appointment.

• Bathing before session is encouraged.

• New male clients by referral only.

• Pets are ok! If they aren’t very interruptive, then having your dog, or cat around is totally ok!

• Arrival will be at least 15 minutes prior to the session start time to allow time for paperwork and set up. If running late due to traffic or another unforeseen change in things, they will let you know ASAP

Session Liability Waiver:

• I understand that although massage can be very therapeutic, relaxing and can reduce muscular tension, it is not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, care and/or treatment.

• I understand that this is a therapeutic massage and any sexual remarks or advances will terminate the session at full cost without refund.

• Being that massage should not be done under certain medical conditions, I affirm that I have answered all questions pertaining to all medical conditions truthfully and have informed Cosmic Care/Kora Mae L.M.T. of any and all medical conditions, especially those that are contraindicated (could be worsened by massage)​

  I Understand My Responsibility To Communicate:

• Discomforts such as, but not limited to, pressure, temperature, draping, music, conversation.

• Changes in medical conditions.

• Expectations for the session and during the session.

• I hereby for myself, my heirs, administrators and assignees, waive and release any and all rights and claims of damages that may hereafter accrue to me, or which I have against Cosmic Care/Kora Mae L.M.T. for all and any injury, loss, pain and suffering, and damages suffered by me during the course of or in any way connected to any and all massage therapy sessions, past, future and present.

Travel Time 

We are happy to travel anywhere at no extra cost for up to 30 minutes between appointments!

Travel times longer than 30 minutes from Cosmic Care's mailing address, may require more than a 60 minute session or incur a travel fee. Exceptions may be made if the frequency of the sessions is greater than once a month. Discounts available for scheduled monthly massage memberships!

• Up to 30 Minutes - N/A

•  31-60 Minutes - $30

• 61-90 Minutes - $60

        

Cancellation

Due to the difficulty of getting your spot filled with Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance half of the full, pre-discounted session price is forfeit, We offer a 50 hour reminder via email and text, please let us know if you are not receiving them! 24 hour notice required for reschedule or cancelation. Failure to provide adequate notice results in full charge.

Reschedule

For the same reason, Rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance of the session is up to the discretion of your therapist.

Please call or text your therapist before the 24 hour time so that they can get you rescheduled! Don’t worry, nasty weather is a normal part of being in the Houston metroplex.

Has Table Discount

Please notify us before you purchase anything, as there is a 2% discount if you already have your own massage table!

This is applicable to all services.

 

Gift Sessions 

Gifted session may be purchased online or in person.

Gifted sessions are purchased as a cash-value that does not expire. However, the price of the service that was associated with the Gifted Session at the time of purchase may change when the receiver of the Gifted Session chooses to use it.

Refunds

Minus any fees and deposits, if you booked online or were invoiced electronically, the appropriate amount will be refunded to you withing 7 business days.

Minus any fees and deposits, if you paid by cash, we will arrange to meet you in person for us to refund your money.

Minus any fees and deposits, if you paid by check, we will post a refund check within 7 business days.

Fees and deposits are subject to their specific requirements.

Non-Payment

All services require a valid and current credit card on file. Should that card expire or otherwise become invalid and there are outstanding fees we are happy to pass you on to our friendly collection agency.

Your Health and Safety

You are in charge of, and fully responsible for, your personal safety and health. If your therapist doesn’t know about an old or new injury, allergy, mutation or super power you have before beginning the massage therapy session they can cause you great harm!
